Sipnosis
Adaptación actualizada por Steve Martin de la obra de George Eliot «Silas Maner». Desde la ruptura de su matrimonio, Michael se ha convertido en un ser solitario, amargado y huraño. Su miserable vida da un giro radical cuando decide adoptar a una pequeña huérfana de un año de edad cuya madre acaba de morir. Pero, algunos años después, el verdadero padre de la niña la reclama.
